Who We Are

We are a one-stop Geosolutions (and ancillary) services provider with offices in Lagos and Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Our key technical leads are experienced industry experts with many years of services for Shell Companies and Schlumberger, having worked across various locations all over the world.

Oil & Gas business decisions, safety of personnel, assets, operational activities, and also protection of the natural environment, are often dependent on having complete, correct, consistent and current information of our operating locations and areas of interest.

We have consistently provided high-quality services to our clients, most of whom are IOCs such as Shell, Marginal Field Operators including but not limited to Aiteo group, Sahara Energy, Lekoil Nig Ltd, First E&P, among others.

Our business is built on the combined discipline of Survey & Positioning and Geospatial Data Management and provides accurate positioning and mapping support across the full O&G life cycle.

CEO/Managing Director

FALAYE, Bankole is a dynamic, innovative, and hard-working professional with over 30-years of exposure and successes in providing top quality support to Exploration and Production projects spanning through all the phases from exploration to decommissioning and across several countries

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Surveying from the University of Lagos and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Hydrography from the Solent University in Southampton. Started his career in Oil and Gas working with Oil Service multinational companies before joining Shell Petroleum Development Company in Nigeria in 2002. As a Shell talent, he worked in many Shell organizations across different locations in the world including the USA, UAE, Albania and most of all in the reknown Shell Global Solutions Company in the Netherlands.

He was until recently the Manager for Geomatics and Metocean for Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company in Lagos supporting all Shell businesses across Sub Saharan Africa. He is a registered Surveyor in Nigeria and a fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors.

Director

OLAMBIWONNU, Razaq is a graduate of Surveying from University of Lagos. Razaq is an astute professional with over thirty years of varied experience in geophysical exploration and surveying acquired in Nigeria, North Africa, North Sea, Far East and USA.

He worked for Schlumberger, WesternGeco and Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC). While in SPDC, he actively supervised the Geomatics (Positioning and Navigation) aspect of the first SPDC Ocean Bottom Nodes (OBN) seismic in Nigeria. He subsequently supervised OBN Monitor and Nodes on the rope OBN seismic campaign for Shell companies in Nigeria. He was actively involved in Bonga deep water geomatics support which included seismic surveys, well marking, metrologies, AUV surveys, etc. amongst other activities.

He is a registered Surveyor in Nigeria and a member of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors.

Director

SOLAR, Olayemi is a Solutions-driven and dynamic professional with 20+ years of experience leading business development and marketing strategy for companies within the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Surveying and Geoinformatics from the prestigious University of Lagos and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Business School Netherlands.

He is passionate about championing Tier-1 negotiations with clients, establishing mutually beneficial deals driving organizational profitability, while providing a business development vision for direct reports to execute on, recognized as a supportive and empowering leader, building, and managing consistently high-performing teams toward seamless execution of marketing and business development tactics, promoting sustainable, long-term increases in revenue generation.

Until recently he was the Business Development & Commercial Manager for Shell Nigeria Gas Ltd where he effectively guided market research, forecasting, and developed high-impact strategies to penetrate new markets and establish partnerships with profitable industry players and regulatory bodies, after a very successful run with one of the biggest IOCs in Nigeria.

Pedro, Ogheneochuko

Legal / Company Secretary

PEDRO, Ogheneochuko ESQ is the Company secretary and legal adviser. He has garnered about 30 years of composite legal experience in public and private law practice. He is a graduate of both the Universities of Jos and Lagos where he obtained his LL. B (1988) and LL.M (1997) degrees, respectively. He also holds the Advanced Legal Advisors Certificate (2005) of the Thames Valley University, London. He was enrolled as a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Ochuko is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and is a registered professional consultant with the Department for International Development (DFID), UK Aid.

Starfix Geosolutions Service Limited local content plan is summarized as a quantum of composite value added or created in the Nigerian economy by promoting systematic development of capacity and capabilities through the deliberate utilization of Nigerian human, material resources and services in execution of her projects in the Nigerian oil and gas industry.

SGS has therefore adopted as her policy the following principles:

  • Focus on the promotion of value addition in Nigeria through the utilization of local raw materials, products, and services to stimulate growth of indigenous capacity.
  • Promote a framework that guarantees active participation of Nigerians in the oil and gas industry without compromising standard. To this end, Nigerian indigenous contractors shall be given first consideration in award of contracts.

With regards to this, the management of Starfix Geosolutions Service Limited has drawn a plan which provides opportunity for Nigerians to understudy each incumbent expatriate for a maximum period of four years after which the position shall be transferred to a Nigerian.
